The 30th annual LAB DAY Chicago is happening on Friday, Feb. 21, and Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers. Last year, this gathering of the dental laboratory community hosted 3,173 attendees from 49 countries.

There will be many clinics, including “Producing Bridges, Copings, Implants and Models from CAD Data Via Laser Sintering—An Industrial 3D Printing Process,” presented by engineer Thomas Thiel. During the session, he will illustrate how direct metal laser sintering (DMLS), a 3D additive CAD data printing process, can bring about 450 units for crowns and bridges in 24 hours, unattended. He will also explain how to produce plastic models with laser sintering. You can check out his clinic on Friday, Feb. 21 at either 1:30pm or 3:30pm in Parlor F, Lobby Level.

In addition to a variety of clinics, many educators, exhibits, and products will be present. Online registration is currently closed, but you may register onsite at the show starting at 8 a.m.
