Case Erectors Build 3,000 Boxes/Day

Two case erectors were used by Bayer HealthCare's Animal Health Div. plant in Shawnee, Kan., to quadruple its daily production. The case erectors, the C-300 and C-2000, from Lantech, Louisville, Ky., (lantech.com), let Bayer consistently ship about 3,000 boxes/day in 10 different sizes.

The C-300 works in the 10-case/min range and erects and tapes case blanks with unglued seams and irregularities that usually jam other machines. A standard power-infeed magazine and case-on-demand operation allow for low, horizontal magazine positioning for easier loading and better ergonomics, as well as consistent feeding of single blanks. It runs RSC and HSC single-wall cases from 7.875 × 5.875 × 3.875 in. to 19.625 × 13.75 × 20.75 in.
