The Selar jerrycan is an alternative to epoxy phenolic and other expensive packaging. The container, from SpekPak, Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., (spekpak.com) uses a flexible resin that resists diffusion and evaporation to prevent costly product loss. It also safely holds most foods, flavors, essential oils, and volatile organic chemicals. The jerrycan, manufactured by Fischer Sohne AG, also cuts shipping costs because it is impact resistant, lightweight, and stackable.
