EDM Hole Maker Works Faster on Less Power

A small hole EDM drill (0.2 to 3 mm diameters) works faster than previous EDM hole makers, is easier to control, and needs only tap water rather than deionized water, according to inventor Tetsuro Ito. In addition, the ED-2000M combines high speed, low wear, and low energy consumption. MC Machinery Systems Inc., Wood Dale, Ill, (mitsubishi-world.com) and Mikuni-Makino are patent holders of the Small Hole EDM Drill.
