Four firms, one goal

Four companies say they have established a new medical platform committed to outsourced manufacturing of medical devices for OEMs worldwide. The group, Boston investment firm Riverside Partners LLC (riversidepartners.com), New England Precision Grinding Inc., Holliston, MA, (nepg1.com) Accu-Met Laser, Cranston, RI, (accumetlaser.com) and American Medical Instruments Inc, Dartmouth, Mass. (amiinc.com) will provide engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and value-added services to medical OEMs that prefer outsourcing. Capabilities include prototyping and manufacturing of components, assemblies, and finished medical devices for applications such as cardiovascular, orthopedic, laparoscopy, and endoscopy. “This organization lets us offer medical firms a diverse array of highly responsive specialty manufacturing, including finished medical devices,” says NEPG's Gerald Mazzenga. The organization will employ 235 people and operate from its Massachusetts and Rhode Island facilities.
