Glenbrook Technologies forms MicroFluor

The small stent is clearly visible in a small artery. Glenbrook President Zweig says the new system works with 5% of the radiation needed by conventional systems.

MicroFluor LLC will market low-dose fluoroscopic X-ray imaging equipment to medical facilities. The new technology produces remarkably detailed images, real-time visualization, and works with extremely low radiation, according to inventor and Glenbrook Technologies president Gil Zweig. Mark Laurenzi, an executive from the business side of technology, has 20 years of experience and will head the new unit. The technology is said to work well in image-guided surgeries such as cardiology, mammography, and orthopedics. Equipment is priced at less than $100,000.
