Biomaterials firm Polymer Technology Group (PTG), Berkeley, Calif., (polymertech.com), has spun-off a life-sciences incubator, Emergence LLC (emergence-llc.com). Emergence will have access to PTG's staff and facilities for developing medical devices. Emergence will be based in PTG's 53,000-ft² facilities in Berkeley's Temescal Business Park. “Emergence's mission is to identify cutting-edge technology around the globe and create life-science companies,” says PTG President and CEO Robert Ward.
