Lambda hits 60
Lester Dubin of Queens, New York founded Lambda Electronics Inc. in 1948 (lambdapower.com) and moved to larger facilities in Melville, NY in 1962. Dubin, an inventive engineer, patented many electronic devices that contributed to the company's growth. Early power products used vacuum tubes and large hand-wound transformers and inductors. The company, now Lambda Power and a member of the TDK Group, has offices in San Diego and Hauppauge, NY.
