Taking the trouble out of ink marking

The 781RC MicroMark ink spray system from EFD Inc., East Providence, RI, (efd-inc.com), can produce uniform round patterns and strips from 0.2 to 1.2 in. wide without clogging or overspraying. For medical products, it can be used to color code components, indicate pass/fail on quality tests during manufacturing, or show production status. The marker can be manually or automatically activated.

A recirculating pump keeps pigments in suspension, while a programmable air delay between spraying cycles cleans the spray nozzle. This eliminates clogging and reduces maintenance downtime. The device can handle 400 cycles per minute and it takes 70 to 90 psi of compressed air to activate it.
