How to trim part counts and mold in a Class-10,000 room
A certified ISO Class 7 mini-environment (Class 10,000) is now available at manufacturer Juno Inc, Anoka, Minn. (junoinc.com) for medical clients who want the advantages of multi-shot molding in SpinStack tooling. The facility can be erected around the injection molding equipment best suited for a particular medical application. “This tooling can trim part counts and assembly steps by combining two or more components in one mold,” says plant manager John Jenkins. “Multi-shot molding can also add features such as soft touch finishes and molded-in gaskets and seals.”
