A supplier of extruded medical components, Microspec Corp., Peterborough, N.H. (microspecorporation.com) opened a 4,500 ft² state-of-the-art research and development facility in September. The R&D group, adjacent to the manufacturing facility, will develop proprietary extrusion technologies, and new products. “Microspec is making a significant strategic investment in our customers' futures with the commissioning of our R&D facility. It supports our commitment to growth through innovation,” says Tim Steele, founder and owner. New product development will be Steele's primary focus, with recently hired Diane Fukuda managing operations. “Our goal is to be an extension of our customers' product development teams” adds Fukuda.
