The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute, Arlington, Va., (pmmi.org) has introduced Packaging Intelligence Briefs, a series to help define and address trends shaping the future of packaging. “PMMI conducts a number of industry studies and surveys throughout the year,” says its president and CEO Charles Yuska. The four briefs that kick-off the series focus on automation trends, barrier materials, in-store advertising, and RFID. Each brief addresses a topic and outlines how packaging machinery suppliers and manufacturers should be responding to market needs.
