Positioning Package Comes Ready to Work

PROmech series of linear actuators helps OEMs reduce overall installed cost for linear motion axes because they come completely assembled and tested. The series, from Parker Hannifin Corp., Irwin, Pa., (parkermotion.com/promech), includes linear bearings, drive screws, thrust bearings, motor mounts, couplings, and motors.

The positioning package lets users minimize the design, procurement, assembly, and qualification of all parts usually needed to build a linear-motion axis. The initial products in the LP28 and LD28 series have a miniature cross-section of 28 3 28 mm and are available with a variety of screw-lead and motor-size options. The LP28 has a travel range from 5 to 500 mm with linear bearing options. It may also be fitted with an optional strip seal, and home and limit sensors. It positions payloads up to 10 lb. The LD28 offers greater screw and motor design flexibility. It has a travel range from 5 to 300 mm and suits thrusting applications requiring up to 10 lb.
