Readers and nation remain divided over healthcare reform

Last month’s online poll asked Medical Edge and Medical Design readers if they are for or against healthcare reform. The results show that 42% answered in the affirmative, while 38% are opposed. The remainder is undecided. For the sake of comparison, a recent Gallup poll shows that 39% of Americans are opposed and “would direct their members of Congress to vote against a healthcare reform bill this fall,” while 37% “want their members to vote in favor.”

This month’s question is a follow-up to last month’s:
Are you for or against the proposed bill calling for medical device makers to collectively pay $4 billion in annual fees for 10 years to help pay for healthcare reform? (Payments would vary based on each company’s market share.)

Please take a moment to provide us with your answer. In return, you’ll get instant poll results that reflect your input, and we will report the final results next month. Stay tuned.
