Following a drop in jobless claims to their lowest level since January, last month’s online poll asked Medical Edge and Medical Design readers if they expect their companies’ workforces to increase, decrease, or remain the same in 2010. The response was overwhelmingly optimistic with 47% indicating “Increase” and 53% voting “Remain the same”. None predicted “Decrease”. Last year at this time, when asked the same question about 2009 job prospects, 33% foresaw a decrease ahead.
