SMC buys India-based electronics firm
Design, mold, and medical contract-manufacturing firm SMC, Somerset, Wisc., (smcltd.com) has acquired Laxmi Electronics, a Bangalore, India-based manufacturer with similar skills. The division in India will be called SMC Laxmi Electronics. “This acquisition brings benefits to those seeking to develop products in the U.S. and have long term manufacturing in Asia,” says Chetan N.
