United Plastics Group Inc, Oak Brook, Ill., (unitedplasticsgroup.com) has opened its third facility in China, in the Suzhou Export Processing Zone. The 115,800 ft² plant was designed after a 24-month evaluation of best practices in contract manufacturing and molding. The facility includes production in Class 100,000 clean room and white-room environments. More than $10 million will be invested in the facility.

Suzhou EPZ is certified for ISO9002 and TS 16949 processes, and can produce and assemble medical, automotive, electrical, and consumer products. Plans include some 60 molding machines ranging from 35 to 610 tons, over 1,000 employees, and 24/7 operations.
