Companies shipping banned substances in their products after July 1, 2006 can face fines or prosecution by the EU. Since the Santa Ana, Calif.-based company's first RoHS product was released to production in February 2006, 25 more have been labeled RoHS compliant. The conversion effort has been over a two-year process and included use of new lead-free solder. Converted items include all catalog products intended for use in the EU, which are identified by the IEC type C13 “computer style“ connectors.
