Lambda Research Corp., Littleton, Mass., (lambdares.com) developer of optical engineering software TracePro and Oslo, says vice president G. Groot Gregory has been honored as a new SPIE fellow this year for his achievements in the development of optical design software.

Gregory is one of the original authors and an active contributor to TracePro, the company's stray-light analysis and illumination design software. He is also active in the development of Oslo, a software program for lens design and analysis. He has published many articles on optical design, optical-engineering software, spectroscopy, and lasers and is active on various optics boards and other related organizations. He earned his M.S. in Optics, B.S. in physics, and B.A. in mathematics from the University of Rochester.
