Industrial and medical-grade Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combination modules available
Full production of small form-factor 802.11a/b/g/n and BT 2.1 modules with SDIO and UART interfaces are available from Summit Data Communications. By supporting both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the same module, the 40 Series NBT modules help device manufacturers reduce system size and cost. Both are based on the Broadcom BCM4329 chip and support 802.11a/b/g/n via an SDIO interface and Bluetooth 2.1 via a UART interface.

The modules provide all of Summit's hardware and software capabilities, including optimized transmit and receive range, dual band antenna diversity, an expanded operating temperature range, a fully integrated software suite and advanced Wi-Fi/Bluetooth coexistence. The SDC-SSD40NBT is a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth System in Package (SiP) module. Its small 15mm square size helps device manufacturers reduce system size and cost. The SDC-SSD40NBT is a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth System in Package (SiP) module that supports 802.11a/b/g/n via an SDIO interface and Bluetooth 2.1 via a UART interface. The SDC-SSD40NBT package is dimensionally and pad compatible with the SDC-SSD30AG, providing a smooth upgrade path to 802.11a/b/g/n and integrated Bluetooth, reducing system cost while delivering the latest wireless capabilities.
The SDC-MSD40NBT is a PCB module with both a board-to-board host connector and an antenna connector for easy hardware integration. Because it has the same interface, form factor, board connector, and pin definitions as the SDC-MSD10G and the SDC-MSD30AG, the SDC-MSD40NBT provides a smooth upgrade path to 802.11a/b/g/n and integrated Bluetooth, reducing system cost while delivering the latest wireless capabilities.
