Pressure sensor eliminates common-mode errors
Millivolt Output pressure sensors reduce all output offset or common-mode errors. The sensors use a silicon, micromachined, stress-concentration-enhanced structure to provide a linear output to measured pressure. The devices, from All Sensors Inc, Morgan Hill, Calif., (allsensors.com) provide a calibrated millivolt output with output-offset characteristics. Output-offset errors due to temperature changes, stability to warm-up, stability to long periods, and position sensitivity are all reduced when compared to conventional compensation methods.
These calibrated and temperature-compensated sensors are said to give accurate and stable outputs over a wide temperature range. They are intended for use with noncorrosive, nonionic working fluids such as air and dry gases.
