PLC-5 series F Ethernet processors from Rockwell Automation, Mayfield Heights, Ohio (rockwell.com) boost network throughput and expand data collection and messaging capabilities in Ethernet applications. The processors are designed for use with Allen-Bradley PLC-5 controllers.

The PLC-5 processors, based on previous designs, auto-negotiate between 10 and 100 Mbps on power-up. They feature an RJ45 connector on the faceplate for direct connection of CAT-5 Ethernet cabling and elimination of external transceivers.
