A reusable clamshell or thin envelope air-filter frame allows replacing only the air filter media, for lower maintenance costs. Two frame designs fit spaces less than 6.35 mm or 0.25-in. thick and can be removed for service while reducing the risk of disturbing dust loaded on the filter, as would be necessary in hospitals. The media meets NEBS standards.
