Sensor measures 2.5 to 100 psi

A pressure sensor (less than 3-cm long) is said to be an economical option for engineers seeking accurate sensors for dry media medical applications such as respirators and oxygen concentrators. The P6000, from Kavlico Inc, Moorepark, Calif., (kavlico.com) is available in gage or absolute-pressure ranges from 2.5 to 100 psi. The sensor works in dry or wet media. Three mounting configurations include flying leads that allow positioning it away from a PCB, or connecting the compact sensor and PCB through a miniature 4-pin connector, or with lead wires for through-hole PCB mounting. The company says it can custom design sensors.
