Qualcomm has chosen MediSafe as its fourth annual QPrize 2014 international seeds investment competition winner. The Israeli company was awarded $150,000 in convertible note funding from Qualcomm, in addition to the $100,000 it previously won in QPrize’s Israel regional competition in venture financing. The winning device is a cloud-synced mobile medication management system that can be personalized to help people incorporate healthy behavior into their daily lives. The device is intended to determine the causes of non-adherence and use the information to create better patient engagement and increase medication adherence.

The QPrize contest received over 1,200 submissions from entrepreneurs all over the world. The regional QPrize winners have businesses that focus on: education, automotive, healthcare, sign language translation, analytics, navigation, and messaging.
