PENTAX Medical Co., a Japan-based R&D and manufacturing company, has introduced its endoPRO iQ 7.6—the latest version of its information technology and image management software for endoscopy units. This is the first completely searchable endoscopic database from PENTAX, and it will allow physicians to handle schedules and track patients and equipment during every step of the process. According to the company, the new software improves endoscopic documentation, report and analysis of quality, efficiency, and equipment utilization data.

The endoPRO iQ 7.6 supports individual and double procedures, while at the same time archiving procedure information, generating procedure and GI unit reports, taking and annotating procedure images, and assisting with chart samples, vitals, and medications.  The software is cross-platform compatible and easily interfaces with other information and hospital systems. Additionally, it writes results the way physicians naturally speak. The endoPRO iQ 7.6 platform showcased at Digestive Disease Week and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates Annual Meeting earlier this month.
