Philips showcased new ultrasound devices at the recent International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) World Congress in Barcelona. Additionally, the company also announced its dedication to prenatal and infant growth. Over the past 18 months, Philips has introduced six ultrasound products for patient diagnosis. The ultrasound products include Affiniti, EPIQ, ClearVue 650, and VISIQ.
Affiniti has an advanced design for patient and user comfort, with a small footprint that allows clinicians to work naturally and with ease. It features Philips’ PureWave transducer technology—delivering images without much image adjustment necessary. The device is an “Anatomical Intelligent Ultrasound”—which delivers automatic anatomy recognition and quantification. EPIQ features solutions for all gestational ages and gynecological applications. The high resolution images offer a large amount of diagnostic details.
ClearVue 650 allows for 3D/4D imaging and includes image quality automation tools like Auto Face Reveal. This technology allows clinicians to incorporate 3D/4D into their clinical practice. The machine sits on a lightweight mobile cart, allowing it to be easily accessed. VISIQ is a miniaturized ultrasound solution. The mobile system is a touchscreen tablet—making use quite easy.
