AdvaMed is accepting panel proposals and applications for company presentations for its MedTech Conference on Sept 21 to 24, 2008. Apply online at www.advamed2008.com

AdvaMed 2008: The MedTech Conference is for business executives, policymakers, media, financiers, and service providers from around the world. In its inaugural year, AdvaMed 2007 attracted more than 400 organizations and 1,100 business leaders.  AdvaMed 2008 will be held in Washington, D.C.

Applicants interested in gaining visibility for their company and sharing relevant, timely, current information on the business environment, policy outlook, or case studies of best practices should complete an online application and include subject ideas and potential speakers for a 90-minute panel presentation. Any organization from or affiliated with the medtech industry is invited to submit a proposal. Applications are due March 21, 2008 and will be reviewed by an independent program committee comprised of senior executives, AdvaMed staff, and industry experts.

 In addition to the panel proposals, organizers of AdvaMed 2008 are also accepting applications from innovative medical technology companies interested in raising capital, tactical partnering of technologies or products, and/or initiating strategic alliances during the business development portion of the conference. Last year’s Business Development Forum hosted 40 plus companies from 17 states and three countries. This year, an expanded version of the program will offer presenting companies the opportunity to provide company overviews to potential collaborators, investors, and partners during the sessions. Emerging growth companies, as well as those at later stages of development are encouraged to apply to present a 14-minute company overview at AdvaMed 2008.

Presentations will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2008.  Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:

Expected Time of Next Capital Raise
Ability to License Technology
Company Appeal to the MedTech Community

The deadline to apply is June 20, 2008.  Presentations will be accepted in the following tentative categories:
