California Here We Come for Medical Devices

The region in Southern California known as the Inland Empire has become a hot zone for medical-device companies. Comprised of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties and including the cities of Temecula and Corona, the region boasts affordable housing, high-paying technical jobs, and the educational resources of Loma Linda University Medical Center, University of California Riverside, and the Keck Graduate School of Applied Life Sciences.

Medical companies have found the Inland Empire's distribution channels, diversity, affordability, and location key factors in choosing to relocate and expand their businesses within the area. Companies range from medical software and generic drug development to biomedical research and medical device manufacturing. Major companies located within the region include LifePoint Inc., Amphastar Pharmaceutical, Trademark Plastics, and Fischer Scientific.

The Inland Empire Economic Partnership is the region's private, non-profit economic development organization, for more information visit www.ieep.com.
