A continuous-integrated gasket by Tech-Etch, Plymouth, MI, for shielding honeycomb vents offer reduced cost and faster production time. Continuous lengths of the high-performance BeCu (beryllium copper) gaskets are mechanically installed without tooling under the inner perimeter of the vent’s aluminum-extrusion frame. The entire vent system is plated as one piece, joining the honeycomb cells, integrated gaskets, and the frame, thus increasing conductivity and shielding.
