Quick Turnaround for Prototypes

Potomac Photonics, Lanham, (potomac-laser.com) says its F2M program emphasizes the quick delivery of quality prototypes with the goal of reducing product development time. The company needs only a customer's CAD file for lead-times as short as 24 hours for custom laser machining. The quick turnaround allows for fast, multiple design iterations in product development.

The company specializes in precision machining of materials such as polymers, metals, and glass for the medical device industry. Typical applications include micro-hole drilling, channels, laser marking, part excision, and cutting for stents, catheters, ophthalmic and glucose sensors. Typical sizes range between 1 and 300 µm.
