Readers divided over impact of healthcare reform

Medical Design’s August/September Reader Poll question shows medical device makers and their suppliers to be split when it comes to predicting the effect healthcare reform will have on medical device and equipment innovations.  A slight majority of respondents (36%) believe reform will result in more innovations, while 34% say it will result in fewer innovations, and 29% don’t believe it will have any effect at all.

This month’s Reader Poll question asks: Does the time and money it takes to gain U.S. approvals hurt or help America in terms of having the latest medical technology available vs. the rest of the developed world?
