A panel of three industry experts “e-convened” last week for the “Exploring Innovations, Advances and Challenges for the Cardiovascular Device Market” webinar sponsored by Medical Design.

The speakers-- Venkat Rajan, Frost & Sullivan; Ivan Vesely, ValveXchange, Inc; and   Jonathan Lee, MedDev Consulting Solutions International LLC—discussed current technological breakthroughs in heart valves, cardiac rhythm disease management, and other areas, as well as the many challenges this growing market faces; some devices implanted in the heart must balance the life of the product with the life of embedded software.

The webinar, led by Medical Design Content Director Sherrie Conroy, also addressed how the 3D revolution, GPS tracking and wearable biometrics may impact cardio tech in the future.
