Users of the newly introduced Abaqus 6.10-EF finite element analysis (FEA) by SIMULIA, Providence, RI, can create substructures of distinct regions in their products, import them into assemblies, recover the results during analyses, and reuse the substructures in future models, saving modeling time. Abaqus 6.10-EF also provides contact and mechanics capabilities for improving efficiency and accuracy of simulating real-world performance of designs, including fluid leakage between 3D bodies in contact.
