Impact tester for medical devices
The 9200 Series impact tester from Instron, Norwood, MA, can be used by biomedical engineers to impact test a wide variety of medical products – everything from eyeglass lenses to plasma bags. The tests help designers determine product safety and liability, as well as product life. The tester meets ASTM, ISO, and DIN standards for impact testing and can provide parameters such as incipient damage points, yield, energy, peak loads, and break loads. It can handle samples (or actual components) made of plastics, composites, metals, and films.
