Wenzel/Xspect Solutions, which rebuilds and remanufactures all makes of CMMs, can now add Renishaw’s PH20 5-axis touch-trigger probe to older systems. The PH20’s compact design provides faster calibration, improved metrology, and almost infinite positioning. The PH20 lets measurements be taken using the head itself (not with probes that attach to arms, which slide along the CMM structure). The 5-axis controlled motion between features eliminates indexing time and lets larger parts be measured on the same CMM. The PH20 uses a TP20 probe with a standard reach of 200 mm and a Renishaw controller, which communicates to a wide range of metrology software.
