If you answered yes, then the Medical Design staff wants to hear from you or your colleagues. Following the success of the first-ever Medical Silicone Conference and an overwhelming response by attendees and exhibitors alike for a second event on the West Coast (see survey comments below), Medical Design will sponsor MSC Anaheim at the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort, November 3 - 4, 2010.

Like MSC Minneapolis, MSC West is expected to be a valuable experience for silicone-solution-oriented exhibitors and for device solution-seeking OEMs. A partial list of OEMs that attended MSC Minneapolis includes: Philips Healthcare, Uromedica, Medtronic, Barosense, Johnson & Johnson, Greatbatch, Boston Scientific, Trudell Medical International, Anulex, St. Jude Medical, Envoy Medical, and American Medical Systems. Post-show survey comments from some of the 150 attendees included: “I thought it was a very good conference and I made some good contacts there. Thank You.”; “For being the first show, this was a great turnout and I look forward to it next year.”; “Superb. Let’s do it again!”

Twenty exhibitors were asked: “Did you make valuable new contacts at the event?” and “Would you be interested in participating next spring in Minneapolis again?” Both questions drew a unanimous yes from all who responded. Other exhibitor comments included: “I thought the conference was very well run, I can’t think of any way to improve it at this time.” and “We got quite a few good leads and will be working on these for the next several weeks and months.”

Medical Design Publisher Bill Rodman observed: “While Minneapolis is a strong regional pocket for the medical device industry, survey responses and conversations with MSC Minneapolis exhibitors and attendees clearly indicate a need for an MSC Anaheim.”

The success of MSC Anaheim will depend a great deal on the quality of its presentations. So if you believe you have what it takes to be a presenter—important information on any of the topics mentioned above—or any other pertinent topics you’d like to suggest—let us know in the form of a 250-word abstract. Send yours to bill.rodman@medicaldesign.com on or before July 1. Abstracts will be evaluated according to content, clarity, and uniqueness. Those only promoting specific companies and their products will be disqualified.
