JIM LOSTETTER is manager of Faulhaber DC Motors for MicroMo Electronics. As a senior member of the management team, he is responsible for the development and management of sales and application engineering operations for the Americas. He is credited with helping the company evolve into a total solution provider in miniature motion. His article, “Non-contact power supply” appears on page 12.

MARCIA COULSON has owned and operated Eldon James Corp since 1987. The company injection molds a large range of plastic fittings used in the connection of tubing. In 2007, with the help of her husband Bill Coulson, EJ BioMed was created for the purpose of manufacturing fittings and tubing in a 10,0002 ft Class 8 (100,000) cleanroom with ISO Class 7 (10,000) Capability. Coulson's article, “Antimicrobials and TPEs offer clear options,” appears on page 20.

DR. TONY HOULT is general manager of IPG Photonics. A trained materials engineeer, he worked in the UK on early high power solid state lasers followed by a lengthy period as a researcher at the University of Warwick. He moved to the U.S. in 1999 and recently set up an applications lab for IPG Photonics specializing in fiber laser micro-machining applications. His article, “‘Dark marking’ medical devices,” appears on page 33.

JENNIFER FRENCH became a quadriplegic from a spinal cord injury as a result of a snowboarding accident in 1998. She is an active user of a functional electrical stimulation (FES) system and is the first woman to receive the implantable Stand and Transfer system through the Cleveland FES Center. Now residing in St. Petersburg, FL, French is a member of the U.S. Disabled Sailing Team. She has an MBA and is the co-founder and executive director of Neurotech Network, a non-profit organization focused on providing education and advocacy for access of neurotechnology for persons with impairments, their care-givers and health care professionals.

JAMES CAVUOTO is editor and publisher of Neurotech Business Report and founder of Neurotech Reports. He is lead author of “The Market for Neurotechnology,” a market research report published by Neurotech Reports. He also authored a chapter in the textbook Neuromodulation (Elsevier, 2009), as well as numerous articles.

French and Cavuoto teamed up to write “Revolution in Rehabilitation” on page 29.

JENNIFER ADAMCHUK is a research information analyst at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics. She is responsible for identifying and evaluating external technology relating to research projects.

EMILIE GAUTRIAUD is a research engineer at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics organization. She is responsible for developing core technology relating to adhesion.

DANNY OU is research associate at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics. He has been working in the field of silicone materials for 20 years.

MARK SIMON is technical director of R&D for the Fluid Systems Division of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics. He leads research efforts in materials and process development.
