Dispensing and fillers

How to deposit 0.0001cc and more

The DV509 pneumatic diaphragm valve is suitable for medical applications that require precise flow control of low to medium-viscosity liquids such as cyanoacrylates, reagents, UV adhesives, and volatile substances where the wetted parts must be separated from the air supply. This valve can dispense >0.0001cc or 0.1µl at 200 cycles/sec. Use the VDP150 for constant high repeatability deposits of medium to high viscosity fluids of 5,000 to 20,000 cps. Shot size is tuned by a stroke adjuster in the valve. Filling a known chamber volume allows positive displacements down to 0.005cc or 5µl. A 4-way valve controller provides rapid cycling. And the PDV-1000 valve uses a series of precision screws for high-viscosity materials, 35,000cps and up. It makes repeatable deposits of >0.00003cc to 0.01µl. Shot-time intervals can range from 0.001 to 65.63 seconds. The PDV-1000 works with filled or abrasive materials.

Placing dots on tiny parts

PicoDot jet dispensing systems work well for applying adhesives, coatings, and fluids to miniature parts. Because the dispensers do not contact the substrate, they can deposit controlled amounts of fluid on hard-to-access areas, uneven surfaces, in applications where a conventional dispensing needle cannot be used, and at speeds to 150 dots per second. Many configurations make it possible to dispense a wide variety of low (50 to 1,000mPas), medium (50 to 200,000mPas), and high (1,000 to 500,000mPas) viscosity fluids. Other benefits include non-contact jetting, an optional precision needle adapter for contact dispensing, and a built-in heater for precise viscosity control.

Gentle material dispensing into aseptic vials

The FMB210 filler provides an aseptic operation that combines the security of sterile containment and a gentle peristaltic-dispensing action to safely and accurately fill injectable products into vials. The technology features a sterile fill channel that assures repeatable accuracy in fill volumes. The modular design of the FMB210 monobloc system is well-suited for contract outsource manufacturers who require flexible, just-in-time solutions for filling and capping of lyophilized injectables. Because product comes in contact only with the medical-grade silicone tubing and the filling needle, there is no risk of product cross-contamination between batches or between product change-over.
