Electric molding improves part quality and cost
Urethane Processing Corp. of America, Peabody, Mass., (upcoa.com) has purchased its first all-electric injection molding machine from Engel GMBH to expand its capability in producing silicone parts. The new machine is more precise than traditional hydraulic equipment and it eliminates the risk of oil contamination common. “Quality comes from being able to better balance the flow of material into the multi-cavity mold for consistency and repeatability,” says Upcoa General Manager Nirav Patel.
