Medical Power Supplies
Medical manufacturers often use power supplies from Elpac Electronics Inc., Irvine, Calif., (elpac.com) because they can be packaged outside the electronic circuitry of the device, making the final unit smaller and run cooler. Elpac produces 40 medical grade supplies in both external and open-frame configurations. External supplies range from 5 to 24 V dc with up to 3.75 A, while open-frame versions range from 5 to 28 V. All models meet major medical agency regulations, including UL2601-1, CE marked to EN60601-1-2:2201, and meet FCC class B and CISR 11 Class B emissions standards.
