Norman Noble expands orthopedic manufacture
Medical device contract manufacturer Norman Noble Inc., Highland Heights, Ohio (nnobel.com.com) announced the expansion of its orthopedic implant manufacturing operation. The expansion includes the addition of eight Willemin-Macodel 5-axis contour-milling machines, making the company, it says, one of the largest providers of single-operation machining to the OEM implant market. In addition, the company has increased its capacity in Swiss turning and milling and has purchased more inspection equipment. “Orthopedic implants are one of the fastest growing segments of our business,” says Norman Noble VP of manufacture Dan Stefano. “The U.S. spinal-implant market alone is valued at $3 billion with sizable forecasted growth.”
