Cleanroom-produced adhesive tapes
Single-coated adhesive tapes produced in a cleanroom environment by Avery Dennison Medical, Mentor, OH, are free of foreign particles, such as dust, that could undermine product integrity.
The urethane, non-woven and diagnostic adhesive tapes are produced in a controlled-environment facility, which is based on FDA and ISO standards. All of the tapes are produced according to customers' specifications, and the cleanroom helps meet requirements for high-precision applications ranging from prototyping to large volume production.
The cleanroom facility includes a precision coater that, according to Richard Baron, senior medical product development manager, “maintains controlled tolerances with a uniform adhesive profile during the production process.” The company offers free adhesive tape project evaluation and product specification services.
