Medical Design announces fall conferences
The fourth edition of the Medical Silicone Conference, a twice-annual event sponsored by Medical Design, will be Oct 4 and 5, at the Sheraton Framingham, Framingham, MA. The two-day event will feature presentations on materials, processing, and design topics specific to medical device OEMs. Keynote sessions will address medtech issues and trends. Unlike other polymer or silicone conferences, the Medical Silicone Conference will focus exclusively on utilizing silicone in the medical device industry. The event also will feature 20 exhibits representing key processors and material suppliers. For more information, visit www.medicalsiliconeconference.com
Following up on the success of the MSC events, Medical Design is pleased to announce its first-ever Medical Prototyping Conference will be held Sept 7 and 8 at the Depot Renaissance Hotel in Minneapolis. The event is expected to feature presentations on stereolithography (SLA), selective laser sintering (SLS), 3-D printing , fused deposition manufacturing (FDM), direct metal laser sintering (DMLS), and rapid injection molding Like MSC, MPC will focus on applying prototyping technologies in the medical device industry and exhibitors will be on hand to explain their technologies. For more information, visit www.medicalprototypingconference.com, scheduled to launch this month.
“With MSC and now MPC, we believe we have an event format that works well for attendees, presenters, and exhibitors alike,” says Bill Rodman, publisher of Medical Design. “Our conference program and lunches for both events are held in the same space as the exhibits. With many breaks scheduled throughout both days, attendees have ample opportunities to visit exhibitors, and exhibitors appreciate the opportunity to listen and learn from the quality presentations. These niche events are important to our industry.”
