Medical devices may never look the same as a result of a new line of colors by Bayer MaterialScience, Pittsburgh that meet FDA-modified ISO 10993-1 testing requirements in medical grades of Makrolon polycarbonate and Bayblend polycarbonate/ABS blend resin grades. The LEDA molded-in compounded colors are:

• Vitamin-C – “juiced-up” orange

• Pulse – “invigorating” purple

• Scrubs – Kelly green

• Cardio – vivid pink

The colors are in response to an increased demand from the medical industry for more chromatic color options.
