Nonwoven fabrics resist blood
Coated nonwoven fabrics add a barrier that can be impermeable to blood, fluids, and most chemicals. The fabric has a 0.5-mil thick, pinhole-free polymer coating. The coating is applied to materials such as spunbond polyester, polypropylene, polyester and airlaid. Applications include surgical and isolation gowns, drapes, blankets, cold packs, and disposables.
