Saint-Gobain buys Consolidated Polymer
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, Aurora, Ohio, (plastics.saint-gobain.com), will acquire the assets of Consolidated Polymer Technologies, Clearwater, Fla., a manufacturer of thermoplastic elastomer tubing, resin, molded products, and equipment. From its one manufacturing location in Florida, the company supplies C-Flex brand products to medical and pharmaceutical customers. Saint-Gobain will combine the CPT business into its healthcare business unit, which is part of the Fluid Systems division. Headquartered in Paris, Saint-Gobain had worldwide sales of $44 billion in 2005, and has more than 200,000 employees in over 50 countries.
