Wire EDM machine for medical

iMed wire EDM machine

iMed wire EDM machine by Fanuc Wire is configured for continuous-duty production of surgical instruments, needles, stainless steel tubing and rods, orthopedic implements, dental tools and devices, and laboratory equipment components. The machine uses brass wire (0.004 to 0.012-in. standard) and comes with a heavy-duty anti-electrolysis (for limiting stray voltage around the workpiece) power supply, an inverter-controlled DI chiller, and an ac servo-controlled water level for the work tank. The system’s CNC provides nano interpolation, a 15-in. color touch-screen monitor, split-screen graphics capabilities, interactive parts and maintenance assistance, multiple USB ports, and ethernet connectivity. And the technology combines adaptive workpiece thickness control, advanced straightness and corner control, and adaptive pulse discharge control for precise, maximum cutting speeds under varying conditions, including poor flushing or interrupted cuts.
