Phillips Plastics (phillipsplastics.com) has expanded its magnesium molding operations with the relocation of its thixomolding process business to a 55,000 sq-ft facility in Eau Claire, Wis. The company molds parts from 0.045 to 4 lb, and operates the largest production thixomolding machine in North America. In addition to developing lightweight products that meet the need for high performance and strength, Phillips will continue to conduct research and development to advance molding technologies.
