The multi-axis Concept FX inspection system boasts a high-resolution X-ray. The equipment, from FocalSpot Inc., San Diego, (focalspot.com) features a 20 × 24-in. no-clamp sample tray and 6-axes for sample manipulation and flexible configuration of 80, 90, or 130 kV mircrofocus x-ray sources. It offers six-axes of motion control, including X and Y, tilt, rotate, tube-Z1 and detector-Z2. A no-clamp sample tray works fast for loading and unloading.

The Concept FX provides oblique object viewing in real-time. The system has a small footprint of 46 × 52 in. and inspects large PCBs with its board handling, which is 60% larger than similar sized systems. A high-resolution and more than 650-fold magnification provides crystal clear images of electrical connections.
